The members of the House of Representatives have called for suspension of the ban placed on importation of vehicles by the federal government.
The Reps made the call during plenary on Thursday, December 8, noting that the move was too sudden and should be better planned.
Recall that the Nigerian Customs Service announced on the importation of vehicles through the land border in a statement signed by its spokesperson Wale Adeniyi.
According to Adeniyi, the directive comes from President Buhari and takes effect from January 1, 2017.
He advised all those importing vehicles through the land borders to move all their goods before midnight on December 31, 2016.
The move has generated mixed reactions among Nigerians.
